Camping
chairs for all
Whenever we go trekking, hiking, or just for a family holiday,
we never seem to have enough seating. In fact, camping chairs
are one of those items where we wish we had brought more along
with us, because there is always someone left to sit on the
grass. Part of the problem is that traditional camping chairs,
even the foldable ones, tend to be reasonably bulky and
uncomfortable.
However, we have been shopping around recently, and have found
several types of camping chairs which seem to break all the
rules. They can be folded up into compact little bundles, mainly
thanks to the fact that the technology behind them combines
telescopic legs with folding cross pieces.
They are also more comfortable than regular camping chairs, and
even come equipped with that all important fisherman’s bonus – a
cup holder, for your hot beverage in the winter, or cool beer in
the summer.
However, you needn’t spend a fortune to get one of the better
styles of camping chairs. It is important that you try and spend
wisely, so that you can purchase enough to go round. There is
nothing worse than cooking a great outdoors meal, only to find
that the recipients all have to sit on the wet grass to eat it.
One thing to remember – canvas covered camping chairs are the
best bet for portability, but you need to be able to remove the
covering, so that it can be cleaned when you get back. Not just
because it might be dirty, but to protect against mildew and
other damp related problems.
