right, being able to load road street and points of interest
information onto its’ 8MB internal memory, to augment the
standard base map with which it comes pre-installed.
The GPS performance of the Garmin Rino 120 is also complimented
by Wide Area Augmentation System data where available to give
you an accurate fix to within three meters. Not to mention the
fact that the unit also boasts the usual array of two way radio
features such as a voice scrambler and vibration alert, and can
communicate with any other conventional FRS radio.
However, the full potential is really only unleashed when two or
more Garmin Rino 120 users get together, since they also get
location information beamed to their units, enabling a wide
variety of unique sporting and leisure activities.
The Garmin Rino 120 is a great multifunctional unit, built to a
good standard of rugged durability, and like many of the Garmin
handheld range, is waterproof up to the IPX7 standard.
