Nalgene
water bottles are the ultimate in liquid transportation
It is true to say that Nalgene water bottles are unique, with a
unique history which spans over 50 years of study into the ways
in which water and other liquids can best be transported and at
the same time kept hot or cold. In fact the story that led to
the first range of Nalgene water bottles being manufactured
started with a chemist with a unique idea for a range of plastic
laboratory equipment.
Some of the scientists at the company began to use the plastic
laboratory equipment in more mundane surroundings, such as
taking them out on treks and walks, and this entirely unofficial
range of Nalgene water bottles eventually came to the attention
of the president of the company. This man just happened to have
a son who was in the Boy Scouts, who also found that the
laboratory designed bottles were great for storing things in the
great outdoors.
Thus, the range of Nalgene water bottles was born – a result of
a great product, designed and manufactured to the exacting
standards required by laboratory equipment, and a love of the
outdoors. Of course, the existing equipment had to be
redesigned, and made into consumer friendly products.
Today, Nalgene water bottles can be found in all shapes, sizes
and capacities, including some that have cups attached and
others which are best used for storing all manner of powders and
non liquid supplies. Naturally, they are still held to the
highest quality standards as befits a company with a history in
laboratory equipment design and manufacture.
