Travel with a healthy back pack

Carrying a pack is never going to be easy, but it can be made more health conscious by attempting to build in features which separate a healthy back pack from regular back packs and day packs. At least if you choose a healthy back pack you will be sure that you can relax in the knowledge that it will be better for you than the others that are on the market.

Airflow is probably one of the most important factors in trying to ensure that you choose a healthy back pack. Any one of the packs which tries to separate your back from the padded rear of the pack in some way will promote good air flow. This will prevent sweating, and more importantly, allow your back to breathe, reducing the possibility of creating areas of blocked pores, which can cause dirt to build up and lead to painful areas which will rub.

Also very important in the search for a healthy back pack is to find one which allows, at the least, easy access to water bottles, and at the best a hydration system built in. A hydration system feeds water to the wearer through a tube and contains a reservoir which can be filled with liquid and which will keep cool.

It is also a good idea to choose a pack with adjustable suspension so that the pack will remain easy to carry in all terrains. One classic sign of a healthy back pack is that the frame and suspension have been made fully adjustable to cater for every wearer.
