tarp
A tarp for all
seasons
Many people forget that the
humble tarp is actually quite handy to have around the house or on
any adventure – they really are one of the most versatile pieces
of equipment to have on hand. Tarps are generally made either from
vinyl or polyester cotton and many come with uva and water-proof
protection to help keep the sun and rain off the things you want
to protect. They are handy to have when you need to collect leaves
and other garden rubbish, or to cover a car, boat, the back of an
open truck or things carried on the roof of the car. There so many
different ways to use a tarp that you may even find one
manufactured specifically for what you have in mind.
A tarp is handy to have when you
venture out of doors. In good weather, you can use it as a picnic
blanket. In bad weather it comes an emergency shelter to help
break the wind and rain. And when it’s too hot and sunny – that’s
right, you can use it to create some much-needed shade. Extend the
live of your tent by using one to reduce abrasion. So, be sure to
include one with all the “stuff you take everywhere”.
And when you are finished using
it, just wipe the tarp clean and fold it flat – it takes very
little space in a pack or camp box. If you want to put the
personal touch to make it your own, use your imagination – they
come in all shades and sizes, so you can be as inventive as you
like.
