Air mattresses which go with you and then come home again

Far from being a young child’s pool or seaside toy, air mattresses today can go with you around the globe and are even becoming a popular choice for home sleep systems. Nowadays, you don’t have to worry that you’ll be huffing and puffing to fully inflate them either – most come with foot pumps, battery fuelled air compressors or car attachment compressors or are self-inflating for super fast set up. Air mattresses come in all sizes – from a child size short single width to queen, king and extra long versions.

You might even find that sleeping on an air mattress helps alleviate back, spine and neck pain – just another benefit of getting back to nature. Air mattresses redistribute weight more evenly to reduce pressure points – so you don’t have to feel like you’ve been sleeping on the cold hard ground unless you really want to “rough” it. On some of the larger models, you’ll find they come with dual controls – so if you prefer a “softer” sleep, you can adjust the air pressure on half the mattress – making it firmer or softer depending on how you are feeling at the end of the day.

Once you’ve gotten used to having air mattresses, you’ll wonder why you ever ventured off with out them. What a difference a good night’s sleep makes when you wake up – without all the accompanying aches and pains from sleeping on the cold hard ground. Make sure you take along a repair kit (just in case) and a protective storage bag for transporting it. It really won’t break the bank as they cost little more than sleeping pads.
